My top five news sources 




Staying informed about national and international events is an important part of my daily life, where I source information that has the same views as I do, is important too; as it should be for everyone. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I feel we are blessed to be in a society where we can have so many different options on where we can get our information on what's happening in the world. Here are my top five sources on where I get. 




Zero Hedge 

Zero Hedge is a financial blog, that posts written articles about current events while expressing outer opinions. For the longest time, I had always heard my dad talk about the current events on zero hedge that were happening. I never took the time to look more at this source until a few months ago, out of boredom, I decided to glance over an article they had published. I had come to find this source pointed out a lot of the same views I had while informing me about what was going on. I feel as if they were truly trying to spread awareness of the matter by being as honest as they could.

                                                                          Revolver 

In some cases I've noticed a lot of today's events are censored throughout social media, a good reason why I enjoy getting some of my information from sites like revolver news is that they're straight to the point. Now I know that's what news is supposed to seem like, straight to the point. I feel as if some of the articles I read aren't.





                                                 Foxs News 

The majority of my family uses fox news, and in my opinion, It is the least bias news source I know. I feel as when they have published a story there's no double meaning behind it like in some of the other sources I've looked into. I like how they're strong with their opinion on their topics, no matter what they are. They report what needs to be heard and I respect that.




                                                 Instagram 

One particular source of news I use so often is Instagram. Whether I'm looking at current events or the latest social media star drama, instagram is always on the move to post the newest events. 




Breitbart

As most people know as Breitbart News, Breitbart is a far right syndicated news website founded by Andrew Breitbart. They are a website that expresses their opinions strongly and freely. Since they're vewis are similar to my own, I feel as if I can relate to them on certain levels more than others with the opposite outlook

While the bible is open for interpretation; one issue about the Bible, for those who look into it, is whether the Bible condemns slavery or not. What I learned from today's EOTO presentations

  What I learned about the Positives and negatives of the Reconstruction era. I learned that the 13th Amendment immediately freed over 100,000 slaves from the states of Kentucky to Delaware and that this Amendment was a response to President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation. Which was brought on January 1,1863 where Lincoln gave the authority to employ African Americans in a military capacity.  Freedmen’s Bureau, this act was considered one of the key factors of the Reconstruction era. Where it created a great improvement for the lives of a lot of freed slaves by providing protection. Including food, shelter, land, and other hospitality aspects. They also provided school establishments and offered legal assistance. Gone with the Wind

  Instead of us having a regular class day, we got to watch Gone with the Wind in the HPU theater. I remember watching the first part of this movie a long time ago, but I think I was too young to understand the movie; so I was happy we had the opportunity to watch it again. To start it off, since the movie is around four hours we only had the option of watching the first part; but it starts off before the civil war. In Georgia, a girl known as Scarlett O’Hara appeared to be a selfish, young woman who mostly wrapped her life around partying and flirting with men. The movie involves a predicament where Scarlett is deeply in love with a man, Ashley, that is bound to marry his cousin. Scarlett is extremely upset about this and decides to get dressed up and go confess her love to him, but her plans did not go her way. Ashley respectfully tells Scarlett that he can not marry her; she gets even more upset and angry about this rejection and goes on to marry Charles Hamilton in a blink of a...
