The Supreme Court

 The Supreme Court

The Supreme Court is the highest judicial system in America, meaning it overpowers the federal and state courts. The Supreme Court has nine people including one Chief Justice and eight Associate Justices. The highest chief, Chief Justice, is administrative for the federal courts in the United States. They are elected by the president of the United States and are accepted by the senate majority vote, and the Associate Justices are elected through the same process. https://youtu.be/cWRoXYRsaeo

What does their job entail? The Supreme Court is in charge to defend the Constitution, interpret the law, and hear cases of the lower federal courts. Another important aspect of their job is to make sure the laws follow the Constitution and no one is in any position of authority or person of America defines the laws in the Constitution. Unlike the presidents that are elected, the Supreme Court Justice is able to stay as long as they choose. It is up to them when they want to leave unless the Senate impeaches them; most do stay for their lifetime. https://youtu.be/Ca8qSuWxcG8
